Shalom yall… We are about 4-6 weeks from rainy season starting here. And we still have several projects that need some help in order to get them completed in time for the monsoons. If you have any free help that you could send our way.. then please consider doing so as soon as possible.
Here are the major projects….
1) Fencing… the never ending project. In this stage of fencing I need to enclose the animals in a better pasture when we are in monsoon rains that can last for weeks. This project will cost, roughly US$500.00
2) Roofing… we need to finish off the greenhouse. The project costs will be for rafters and plastics to finish off the greenhouse and allow for food production during the monsoons. This project will cost, roughly US$400.00
3) The constant costs for internet sites, radio station and our connection is a monthly drain on a low income. This project needs a monthly sponsor who can help with roughly US$80 per month which would cover the annual costs as well as the monthly costs for the podcast/presentation outlets.
There are other projects, such as car repair, but they aren’t as high on the list at the moment.
So, IF, you have the ability to help and would like to help. Then please use the Paypal link below to send money, or you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have other questions. Thank you very much for the help.
Folks.. my deepest apologies but this week we ran out of time this week. I pray that you have a great time of study and fellowship. Shalom alechim… see you next week.
This week we were unable to complete a recording for the portion. This posting is just to make you aware. Next week we will be back on schedule. Shalom and joy to each of your homes.
Shalom folks.. this week we do not have a new recording for the Round Table. next week should resume all the podcasts. Chag sameach Sukkoth… Shalom alechim 🙂
Shalom folks.. I wanted to get a status update out for those who wanted to know what has been going on with us on the farm. And why we still arent on the internet like we were before. I also wanted to address some of the things I have heard being discussed and wanted to get some incorrect assumptions addressed. This is not a teaching, just a message for those who wanted to know what is going on here. 🙂
Folks.. I wanted to take a second to let you know that the move has happened.. We did lose a couple of the goats.. and several of the chickens and most of the turkeys. But.. things are starting to settle down with the animals and we are finally “fenced”. So, things are looking up. We do have one more goat that is hanging in the balance, But, once that is past we will be working on the internet situation.
As of this moment.. We are on a deserted island. Lol… Well, sort of. This is effecting our weekly recordings with Yoel and some of the other projects we have been working on presenting for you. But, we have some ideas on how to fix it. If you find yourself in a position to help us with this project.. please feel free to email me. Basically, we need to build out a “bridge” to get internet. Which can be pieced together using several standalone kits…
Anyway… we are.. overall.. doing well and dealing with the changes. I will be doing some video blogs and some new things that will be uploaded as often as I can make it to town.
Until we get internet back.. We are unsure of our weekly gathering time on Sabbath. Many of you folks enjoy it and we will leave it open. We do not think our internet outage will last for very long.
Shalom aleichem everyone… Peace and blessings to you all.
I have noticed a number of folks who are having issues remembering their password. I just wanted to state the obvious in case it isn’t obvious… The Talking Torah website Login is really not used other than in preparation for some things that are coming in the near future.
So, “if” you are using the web site login in order to log into the chat room.. well… that isn’t how the chat room from RumbleTalk-Chat functions (at lease I have found a way to tie RumbleTalk into my password database).
So, in case you hadn’t figured it out yet.. The web site password and the RumbleTalk-Chat password are not connected in any way.
LONDON — Astrophysicists are mystified after concluding that 80% of the light in the universe appears to be missing.
The total amount of light in the universe can be measured by tracking changes in hydrogen after exposure to ultraviolet light. The hydrogen becomes ionized and can be seen on large telescopes.
The emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, are a couple of days from agreeing the $10 billion BRICS development bank, as well as a $100 billion currency pool. It could challenge global lenders like the IMF and World Bank.
The bank will be called the New Development Bank, and will provide finance for infrastructure projects. Its creation will meet the needs of emerging and poorer economies according to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
In a speech Wednesday he confirmed the funding would be divided equally, Russia will contribute $2 billion in initial capital for the BRICS bank over seven years.
The bank will start with $10 billion in cash and $40 billion in guarantees. The $50 billion will be eventually built up to $100 billion.
For those who send in bank checks to help with the costs here…
Currently we have been receiving checks and sending them up to our bank using an iPad application. This service is ending with my bank. We are working on a new mechanism for receiving your gifts. Please email us at Jeff@talkingTorah.org to get more information on how to give. As soon as we can set up a new mechanism we will let you know.
Thank you for all your help.
